The Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment) Regulations 2021

There are two鈥痮bjectives鈥痮f this鈥痵tatutory鈥痠nstrument鈥�(SI): firstly, it makes provisions to ensure businesses have sufficient time to comply with new UK conformity assessment marking (UKCA) requirements鈥痠n order to鈥痩egally place products on the market鈥痠n鈥疓reat鈥疊ritain (England and Wales and Scotland). Secondly, this instrument鈥痬akes necessary technical amendments to鈥痗ertain鈥痯roduct safety and metrology legislation so that it works fully as intended.
