Changes to B3聽fruit machines聽aim to聽help leisure industry

The maximum stake that can be gambled on each聽turn on a B3 fruit machine, found in adult gaming centres and bingo premises, is to rise from 拢1 to 拢2 under .

Alongside this measure, bingo halls and arcades will also be able to offer more聽of this type of聽machine, which聽has a maximum prize limit of 拢500.

At the moment adult gaming centres are only allowed a maximum of聽four B3s聽while聽bingo premises can have up to eight. The聽change will mean 20 per cent of their overall total of gaming machines can be B3s.

The changes follow and聽are expected to聽come into effect before聽Parliament goes into聽recess for the summer from 20 July.
