Minister for Europe Meets Cypriot Foreign Minister

The Minister for Europe, David Lidington, welcomed Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides to London today.

The UK and Cyprus enjoy a warm and productive bilateral relationship. This was the first formal ministerial meeting with President Anastasiades鈥� new government. The Minister for Europe expressed the UK鈥檚 support to tackling the economic crisis and in renewing efforts for a Cyprus settlement. The Ministers also discussed continuing to work together on EU issues, and how to encourage transition in Syria.
