Remembrance Day observed in Norway
Remembrance Day ceremonies to commemorate Commonwealth service personnel who died during conflicts from World War I to the present day.

On Sunday 10 November the British Embassy Oslo held the annual Remembrance Day wreath laying ceremony at the Commonwealth War Graves Plot at Vestre Gravlund followed by a church service of remembrance. The events were attended by Vice Admiral Haakon Bruun-Hanssen and his wife Hege, Major General Espen Amundsen, Major General Tom Henry Knutsen, together with Norwegian veterans from the Royal Air Forces Association (Norway Branch), Navy Veterans鈥� Associations and the Norwegian Veterans Association for International Operations.
The ceremonies were supported with buglers from HM The King鈥檚 Guard and the Aggerhusische Veteran Company. The Embassy was represented by Charg茅 d鈥橝ffaires Dr Carol van der Walt (in the absence of HM Ambassador) and Defence Attach茅 Lt Col Matthew Skuse RM along with other Embassy officers. Wreaths were laid by Ambassadors and representatives of several Commonwealth nations.
Reverend J.O. 鈥淧ete鈥� Wright of St Edmund鈥檚 Anglican Church in Oslo led the remembrance church service at Frogner kirke.
On Monday 11 November at 1100hrs local time embassy staff observed a two minute silence to remember all those who sacrificed their lives in the First and Second World Wars and all subsequent conflicts.
