United Kingdom supports lynching prevention project in Quich茅
The Myrna Mack Foundation, in association with the British Embassy, have launched a lynching prevention protocol.

This is based on a pedagogical program with a focus on prevention, reaction and knowledge of the performance of judicial institutions regarding this phenomenon.
The document will be shared with local authorities, indigenous communities, civil society, and others.
Local authorities and judicial institutions from Quich茅, invited by the Lynching Prevention Commission of Quich茅鈥檚 Justice Executive Committee, helped develop the protocol. The Myrna Mack Foundation coordinated the completion of this document and it was supervised by the National Civil Police.
The launching of the protocol took place in Santa Cruz del Quich茅, in the presence of local authorities and members of the community. The event was attended by the United Kingdom鈥檚 Ambassador in Guatemala, Sarah Dickson; and Executive Director of the Myrna Mack Foundation, Helen Mack.
Before her trip to Quich茅, Ambassador Dickson visited Solol谩, where she witnessed activities carried out by women within the community in a workshop financed by the United Kingdom and implemented by the National Union of Guatemalan Women (UNAMG) and with a focus on the prevention of sexual violence in conflicts.
