Youth heritage summit begins

Minister gives opening address at summit in historic Greenwich.

Young people from across the country have come together to explore heritage and identity at the .

Various Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site locations are hosting the three-day summit, including the National Maritime Museum and Greenwich Park.

The youth delegates, aged 13 to 17, won the chance to represent Britain鈥檚 UNESCO World Heritage Sites following a nationwide competition.

Heritage Minister gave the opening address at the summit today and the young people will聽spend聽the next few days聽learning more about heritage and developing new digital skills.

Highlights will include a digital treasure hunt and the opportunity to make a聽series of films to be shown at sites across London during this summer鈥檚 Games.
