Angharad Rayner

Biography
Angharad joined Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) in 2006 as a trainee health physicist. She spent eight years in radiation protection, including four years leading the department. Angharad then joined the Trawsfynydd lead team as EHSS&Q manager before becoming waste operations manager.
She later became site director at Trawsfynydd, making history as the first woman in the UK to run a nuclear decommissioning site. In 2024, Angharad was seconded to the NDA as EHS Director but has now returned to NRS as EHSS&Q Director.
Angharad was among the first cohort to train as a mental health first aider and was a founding member of the NRS Women鈥檚 Network. She is president of the Wales Nuclear Forum and a role model across the industry, particularly for women in the energy sector.
