Biography
In September 2024 Jim joined HS2 as a Strategic Advisor and is currently the Interim Chief Programme Officer with accountability for the re-baselining of the Phase One programme and the creation of a new Delivery Strategy. In this role Jim is also accountable for the delivery of high-speed railway systems, rolling stock and infrastructure works on the Network Rail infrastructure.
Prior to this role Jim has over 30 years鈥� experience of being accountable for delivering a significant number of complex UK railway projects which include:
- Network Rail 鈥� Transpennine Route Upgrade Programme Director (2023 to 2024)
- Crossrail 鈥� Chief Programme Officer (2020 to 2023)
- HS2 鈥� Managing Director Phase 1 (2014 to 2019)
- Network Rail 鈥� Thameslink Major Programme Director (2009 to 2014)
- Network Rail 鈥� National Signalling and Telecoms Delivery Programme Director (2004 to 2009)
