Details
This regulatory position statement (RPS) does not change your legal requirement to comply with the conditions of your abstraction licence.
However, the Environment Agency will not normally take enforcement action if you do not comply with the conditions of your licence if you meet the requirements in the RPS.
The regulatory position does not apply to any other legal requirements.

RPS300 'abstraction of floodwater' review has been extended to 31 October 2026. This RPS was due for review in March 2025. An extension is required is because the weather conditions under which the RPS could have been used have not occurred. The new review date allows for another autumn and winter period during which the RPS could be used.
