Professor Ragnar L枚fstedt, Director of the King鈥檚 Centre Risk Management, Kings College, London, carried out an independent review of health and safety regulations to look at the scope for reducing the burden of health and safety regulation on business. The Professor鈥檚 Report 鈥楻eclaiming health and safety for all: An independent Review of health and safety legislation鈥�, was published on the 28 November 2011.

This progress report contains updates on implementing Professor L枚fstedt鈥檚 recommendations, as well the recommendations in Lord Young of Graffham鈥檚 earlier report 鈥楥ommon Sense, Common Safety鈥�. It provides a comprehensive overview of the government鈥檚 progress with health and safety reform.
