This Notice advises all shipowners, shipbuilders, masters, certifying authorities, and surveyors of requirements imposed by the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection) Regulations 2023 (SI 2023/568) (鈥渢he 2023 Regulations鈥�) and the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection: Small Ships) Regulations 1998 (SI 1998/1011) (鈥渢he Small Ships Regulations鈥�) for ships constructed before 1st July 2002 in relation to special fire safety measures for ships carrying dangerous goods.
