HM Treasury is required to make Treasury Directions by the Public Service Pensions and Judicial Offices Act 2022. The Act provides a remedy for members of the public service pension schemes who were affected by discrimination that arose when public service pension reforms were introduced in 2015. Treasury Directions specify how powers under the Act are to be used by public service pension schemes. The 2025 amendment Directions make minor technical amendments to the Public Service Pensions (Exercise of Powers, Compensation and Information) Directions 2022.
