Overview

In 2012 the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) launched a Local Authority competition, which closed to applications on 30 November 2012.

DECC has awarded 拢46 million to projects across the country to help reduce fuel poverty, boost energy efficiency and encourage collective switching and purchasing across the country.

The 拢46 million has been allocated in 3 areas:

  • 拢31 million to help vulnerable householders keep warm this winter
  • 拢10 million to kick start the Green Deal with 鈥楶ioneer Places鈥� projects
  • 拢5 million to set up collective switching schemes 鈥� 鈥楥heaper Energy Together鈥�
