The NRS socio-economic scheme provides funding to support activities that benefit the social or economic life of communities close to NRS facilities in support of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority鈥檚 (NDA) responsibilities under the Energy Act (2004).

It follows Cabinet Office guidelines as set out in 鈥楳anaging Public Money鈥� and 鈥楪overnment Functional Standard for General Grants鈥� which are intended to provide value for money, transparency, and the better achievement of objectives.
