About Change Step

Change Step (Adferiad) is a veteran-focused organisation delivering peer-led support services across Wales. Staffed by veterans for veterans, they provide tailored help for those dealing with mental health issues, substance misuse and the often-complex transition from military to civilian life.

Their services include one-to-one mentoring, crisis support and practical help with housing, employment and accessing health services.

At the heart of Change Step is the belief that veterans are best supported by people who understand their experiences. They train and employ military veterans as peer mentors 鈥� enabling trust, empathy and practical, lived-experience support.

They also work in partnership with statutory bodies, local hubs and third-sector organisations to provide wrap-around care, ensuring no veteran is left behind.
