About Fighting with Pride

Fighting With Pride is an LGBT+ military charity that operates across the UK and Northern Ireland through a team of veteran community workers.

They support LGBT+ veterans, serving personnel and their families. In particular, they support those impacted by the ban on LGBT+ personnel serving in the armed forces from 1967 to 2000.

Veterans can self-refer, or be referred through the NHS or any of their military charity partners and networks.

They operate a support and triage service, working closely with specialist services that provide support with:

  • LGBT+ issues
  • mental health
  • alcohol and substance misuse
  • gambling addiction
  • criminal justice system issues
