View your eVisa and get a share code to prove your immigration status online

You can use this service to:

  • view your eVisa (online immigration status) - this shows what rights you have in the UK, for example to work, rent or claim benefits
  • get a share code to prove your immigration status to other people, for example employers, landlords or airline staff

You can only use this service if you have a聽UK Visas and Immigration聽(UKVI) account. You鈥檒l have an account if you鈥檝e ever:

  • applied to the EU Settlement Scheme
  • used the 鈥楿K Immigration: ID Check鈥� app to prove your identity when applying for a visa
  • created one when applying for a visa (you鈥檒l have received a聽UKVI聽account confirmation email)
  • accessed your eVisa (an online record of your immigration status)

If you do not have a UKVI account then you first need to聽create an account to get access to your eVisa. You can usually do this if you have permission to stay in the UK for longer than 6 months.

Before you start

To sign in you鈥檒l need details of the identity document you use to sign in to your聽UKVI聽account. This could be your:

  • passport
  • national identity card
  • biometric residence card - this can be expired聽
  • expired biometric residence permit

You鈥檒l also need access to the mobile phone number or email address you use to sign in to your UKVI account.

If you cannot get access to an eVisa

You can use different services to聽prove your right to work听辞谤听prove your right to rent without a UKVI account.

    If you said in your application that you would be accompanied by an adult, they need to be with you when you arrive at the border.

    If you're not accompanied by an adult, the official at the border will check that you know where you're going and how you're getting there. They may ask you other questions too.
